About Me
Hi, I’m Angie!
I am a Chicagoan born and raised, “mom” to Chloe (4), Jack (1) and Oscar the Shih Tzu and wife to Bill, my husband of six years. On any given day you can find me juggling carpool and conference calls, cooking 3 dinners (everyone wants something different, of course) or impulsively organizing a closet to de-stress.
Oh, and I have Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis.
Shocked? Me too.
I was the picture of perfect health until I lost my vision and was diagnosed with MS at 29-years-old. While that news was less than desirable (let’s be honest, it scared me to death!), I decided early on that I wouldn’t let it keep me from living my wonderful life. I had too much to look forward to to let MS slow me down.
Five years after diagnosis, I’ve proudly learned to manage my disease while also still doing all of the things that make me, me! Yes, I have days that are rough but thanks to new medications and living a healthy lifestyle, I’m able to keep my disease under control. I live a full and busy life and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Thanks for stopping by, and come join me on my journey as I aim to change the perception of what it’s like to live with MS!
