I can’t believe the holidays are almost here and New Years is around the corner. Time really has flown by! As I’m finishing wrapping presents and starting to prep for our Christmas dinner, there are just a few thoughts I wanted to share..
2016 was a big year for our family – a year of change. We welcomed Chloe into the world and became first-time parents. Bill also started a new job and I left mine at Hyatt. All three of those changes – while at times being pretty scary and unnerving – were truly the best decisions for each of us and our family.
The lesson I learned is that sometimes the best decisions are the hardest ones to make. There were many nights I tossed and turned over my decision to quit my job (I mean seriously, who just quits their job without an exact plan!?). It seemed so irrational in some ways, even though it made perfect sense in others. But, I trusted my gut and with the support of my husband, we decided to make it work and I’m so happy we did. I feel so incredibly fortunate every day for these gifts, my health and the loved ones in my life.
