Tomorrow, August 23rd, my husband and I will celebrate two years of marriage. Not to discount the two years, but our time being married is hardly what I choose to celebrate. Instead, I’m celebrating all we’ve been through, all we’ve faced and how we’ve handled our marriage so far. It’s not easy accepting and tackling an incurable illness after only 4 months of marriage but my husband has been there every step of the way. He’s gone to every doctor appointment, slept on hospital beds (if you can even call them beds) and been there to support me emotionally through my highs and lows.
We are certainly not perfect and we don’t pretend to be either. Just like any married couple, we have disagreements and differing opinions but when we decided to get married three years ago, we made a commitment to each other to work through anything, and that’s what we continue to do. I’m proud of the life we’ve built, the family we created and the friendship we’ve still maintained 15 years later.
Bill, thank you for being by my side. I love you more every year.
In honor of this special day, I wanted to throwback to our beautiful wedding day. Thanks to the amazingly talented Kent Morien, we have memories to last a lifetime. If you’re looking for a wedding photographer, I can’t say enough wonderful things about Kent Drake Photography.
