When the National MS Society asked if I would represent them and the upcoming Walk MS event on 3 television shows, my immediate reaction was… “Holy crap”. No, seriously. I’ve never been on TV before and like most of us, have a bit of a fear of public speaking (especially on live TV!). But, after I let their ask sink in, I knew I had to do it. With Walk MS nearly 2 weeks away and only half way to my fundraising goal, I decided to get CREATIVE with fundraising. As you all know, finding a cure for multiple sclerosis is something that’s near and dear to my heart. Whether through donating or walking along side me, I’d like to ask for your support in this year’s Walk MS, a fundraiser supporting the National MS Society and furthering research for medical advancements and promise for a cure.

After the news settled, I quickly learned that each one of my closest friends would have their own way of supporting me through this and I was so blown away by the love I received. Some were there to listen and sympathize, others offered advice and resources, and some even began researching MS to better understand what it was and how it could impact me. Read more
