Weekly Round-Up
I don’t know about you, but I feel like weeks come and go so quickly and one seems to blend right into the next. I’ve been reading about mindfulness lately – which focuses on being in the moment, conscious and aware, and making purposeful decisions – so it inspired me to start taking a deeper look at the happenings of the week.
Mindfulness is “deliberately paying full attention to what is happening around you and within you – in your body, heart and mind”. I’ll be the first to admit that with the chaos of every day life, I forget to do this sometimes. In fact, I try to multi-task as much as possible since I’m constantly juggling an active baby. But, I’m hoping that reflecting on the week will encourage me to slow down and take a deeper look at the things around me.
I also intend to use this as a platform to share any interesting reads of the past week – whether it be on MS, nutrition, wellness, or parenthood. Helping one another with knowledge, support, useful tips or even a good laugh is what this is about, so I’d love for you to help make this a collaborative space and email me any articles that you think readers would enjoy.(WellandStrongwithMS@gmail.com)
Weekly Round-Up
This was an interesting week for us at home. With the seasonal changes, Chloe caught her first cold. Caring for a sick child for the first time was a bit overwhelming – especially because I was really feeling sick and depleted myself. Since my experience with sick babies was minimal (let’s be honest, non-existent), I reached out to my Facebook friends for advice and was blown away by how thoughtful, supportive and kind people are. Friends near and far weighed in and offered some very useful advice which helped Chloe get back to bubbly self in no time. Thank you to everyone who shared tips, and I’ll pass along the info in case others are also in need… Check out how to cure a baby’s runny nose and cold below.
Turn on a humidifier, use baby vapor rub on baby’s chest and feet (which you then cover with socks – who knew?!), try some nasal drops and then use the NoseFrida for congestion. Worked like a charm!
Now that we’re both feeling better, I’m looking forward to a fun weekend supporting a friend at her charity event and celebrating a good friend’s birthday on Saturday afternoon. Have a great weekend, everyone!

A weekly roundup is a good idea – catches what we miss and reminds us of good ideas
