It’s hard to believe but our baby is 3!

In the last year, Chloe’s really grown into her own and developed a distinct personality that’ll warm your heart. She’s loving and sweet, yet opinionated and decisive. She comes off as bashful and timid at times but once she gets to know you – BAM! – she’s back to her gregarious, lovable self. She has such an imagination and loves to pretend play, and is always keeping busy, busy, busy! When she gets going, you can’t slow her down (hmm, no idea where she gets that) but at the same time she loves snuggling in bed with mom and dad.

Her favorite loves at the moment include her beloved bunny that she brings everywhere, wearing pjs all day if we’ll let her, salmon and tomatoes for every meal and building castles, hosting tea parties, playing mama to her babies, and playing with her new doll house. We are of course biased, but to us, she is just truly special.

We had so much fun celebrating her birthday last week as this is the first year I feel like she really “gets it”! When we asked her what she wanted for her birthday she said “ice cream!” so we, of course, decided on an ice cream themed party!

Since I am feeling pretty preggo at this point and need to take it easy, we decided to keep the party intimate. We opted for carry-outs from our favorite Italian place in the neighborhood, invited our close family and friends and ate lots and lots of cake and ice cream! Here’s how we celebrated..

Ice Cream Bar

I made the ice cream bar the centerpiece of the party and developed my own labels for the toppings. They were a fun, low cost addition that added to the theme. (If you’re thinking of doing your own ice cream party, you’re welcome to download the labels below here.)

Decorations

I ordered most of my decorating and party supplies from Amazon as I’ve been taking it easy lately (and what really tops free, 2-day Amazon Prime delivery?). See below for some ice cream party favorites.

Kids’ Activity

To keep the kiddos busy during the party, I created some ice cream-themed coloring pages which you can download here, here and here. I went to the Dollar Tree and got pencils, glue and some fun stick-ons so each kid could make their own artwork piece during the party. They turned out super cute!

Birthday Outfit

A themed party dress was a must! We got this oneoff of Amazon (unfortunately it looks to be sold out) but they had lots of cuteoptions (see below).

Ice Cream Cake

I worked with Cake Art by Kristen to make this adorable ice cream cone cake which turned out perfect! Thank you for your help, Kristen!

I also got Chloe this adorable ice cream bib to match and now it’s her go-to for every meal!

It was a wonderful day celebrating and big thanks all of our family and friends who came.

We all love you, Chloe! You truly light up our lives.
