With Walk MS nearly 2 weeks away and only half way to my fundraising goal, I decided to get CREATIVE with fundraising. Thanks to some wonderful friends and the Salesforce recruiting team, we pulled off a bake sale with BIG results – $1,710 in revenue to be exact! Check out all the details.

First off, who would have guessed that you could raise $1,700+ at a bake sale?!

As you all can imagine, fundraising can be tough, uncomfortable and yes, a little awkward. You don’t want to be too pushy but you’re also looking to raise funds for a great cause… so, in comes our bake sale and solution to our dilemma because who doesn’t love delicious treats?!I have to first say that Salesforce is an awesome company that not only cares about their employees but giving generously to the National MS Society. (You all may remember that I spoke at their golf outing last year where they donated proceeds to the National MS Society).

Anyhow, since I knew they’d be game for a MS fundraiser, I worked closely with my friends, Courtney and Megan, who are also Salesforce employees, to come up with the best option. After some debate, we settled on a bake sale where all of the amazingly kind and generous members of the Salesforce recruiting team baked a special treat to sell. We also sold $5 raffle tickets to win $75 gift card to Parlor Pizza and $100 to Café Spiaggia to entice sales. (Don’t worry, we still have 4 “GRAND” prizes for all those who’ve donated to Walk MS, including $100 to Gibson’s, Fig and Olive, Erie Café and Nico Osteria which will be announced the week of 4/24).

Back to the bake sale… it was such a success and a lot of fun to do with these girls. I was so impressed with the baking skills of these ladies – everything looked and smelled SO good!We ended up raising $855 in bake and raffle ticket sales alone and best of all, Salesforce generously matched our donation making our grand total $1,710 for the day. How awesome, right?!HUGE thank you to Salesforce, my amazingly wonderful friends, Courtney Lyons and Megan Fabian, for leading the charge with this event, and the team including, Karen Block, Caileen Donahue, Lauren Winicki, Ashley Devereuz, Mallory Stein, Miranda Rogers and Jen Price for baking such delicious treats. Also,, congrats to George Arakawa and Victoria Vasilic on winning the raffle prizes from our random drawing!

Want to support us too? It’s not too late to contribute to my Walk MS team!

If you haven’t donated already and want to support the cause and be entered to win these great prizes, you can do so here. Even a $5 donation can win you a $100 dinner – awesome, right? If it’s easier, you can also use Venmo (@Angie-Randall) or QuickPay (angieroserandall@gmail.com) and 100% of your donation will go to the MS Walk and you’ll be entered into the raffle.

Have a great weekend ahead and thanks again for your support!
